Speeding

Carolina:

a. Speeding greater than 80 MPH in 70 MPH and
lower speed zones is "3" Division of Motor Vehicle
Points (12 points in three years takes your license) and
"4" Insurance Points (90% increase in premiums for
three years),

b. Speeding greater than 75 MPH in 65 MPH and
lower speed zones is "3" Division of Motor Vehicle
Points (12 points in three years takes your license) and
"4" Insurance Points (90% increase in premiums for
three years),

c. Speeding greater than 10 MPH over the speed limit
where the driver's speed was greater than 55 MPH but
less than 75 MPH is "3" Division of Motor Vehicle
Points (12 points in three years takes your license) and
"2" Insurance Points (45% increase in premiums for
three years),

d. Speeding 10 MPH or less where the posted speed
limit is 55 MPH or greater is "3" Division of Motor
Vehicle Points (12 points in three years takes your
license) and "2" Insurance Points (45% increase in
premiums for three years),
e. Speeding 10 MPH or less where the speed limit is
60 MPH or 65 MPH is "3" Division of Motor Vehicle
Points (12 points in three years takes your license) and
"2" Insurance Points (45% increase in premiums for
three years).

f. Speeding 10 MPH or less where the speed limit is
less than 55 MPH is "2" Division of Motor Vehicle
Points (12 points in three years takes your license) and
"1" Insurance Points (25% increase in premiums for
three years, if you have had a previous ticket within
three years, otherwise no insurance points unless you
get another speeding ticket).
